Once upon a time, in a beautiful village called Vrindavan, lived a very special boy named Balaram. Balaram was famous for two things: his amazing strength and his big, kind heart. He was the older brother of Krishna, and wherever Krishna went, Balaram was always right there to protect him.
Balaram was as strong as an elephant! While Krishna loved to play the flute and dance, Balaram loved to stay active. He carried a tiny wooden plow on his shoulder because he loved the earth and the green fields. Even though he was very powerful, he never used his strength to bully anyone. Instead, he used it to help his friends and keep Krishna safe.
One sunny afternoon, Krishna and Balaram were playing in the forest with their friends. They were looking for sweet, ripe fruits to eat. Suddenly, they saw a very tall tree with the juiciest mangoes at the very top.
"Oh, I wish we could reach those!" cried the other children.
Krishna looked at his big brother and smiled. Balaram stepped forward. With a mighty—but gentle—shake of the tree trunk, the golden mangoes came tumbling down like sweet rain! Everyone cheered. Balaram made sure every single child got a mango before he took one for himself.
But being a big brother wasn’t just about sharing fruit. Whenever a scary storm came or a wild animal wandered too close to the village, Balaram would stand tall like a giant wall. He would hold Krishna’s hand and say, “Don’t worry, little brother. I am here!”
Krishna felt very lucky. He knew that no matter what happened, his big brother Balaram would always look after him.
Moral of the Story:
Being strong means using your power to help others and being a protective friend to those you love.
Fun Talk Point for Parents:
"Balaram is strong and always looks after his little brother, Krishna. Just like Balaram, we can use our strength to be kind and helpful to our friends and family!"
